Delicate Handmade Christmas Card
You may have noticed those delightfully elegant snowflake die-cuts… so beautiful! They were created using my Big Shot and the new Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies featured on Page 35 of the Holiday Catalog. They were cut from Whisper White card stock and layered along the edges of a Night of Navy card base using my Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
For the focal piece I decided to use one of the images from the Merry Little Labels stamp set (wood-mount or clear-mount), which I stamped in Night of Navy ink and then punched out with the coordinating Everyday Label Punch.
It might be hard to see in the photo, but I added Pearl Jewels to the centers of the snowflakes for some added texture and sophistication.
As we open the card we’ll find our Christmas card sentiment stamped in Night of Navy, along with a line of snowflakes. I mounted both stamps on the same clear block before inking and stamping so they’d be perfectly lined up. Both of these images came from the Snowflakes Sentiments stamp set (wood-mount or clear-mount), and can be purchased in a bundle with the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies to save 10%, also (wood-mount or clear-mount).
After attaching some white card stock to the inside of the card I glued the card sentiment just above the center to leave room for writing underneath.
With the right tools you, too, can make this delicate handmade Christmas card for your loved ones.
