Homemade Christmas Card Idea Using Brightly Lit Christmas Bundle
The Brightly Lit Christmas Bundle is all I needed to create this tall and skinny homemade Christmas card idea. Wouldn’t this be a great card to tuck those holiday letters into? It fits perfectly into a legal size envelope.
This simple card was pretty easy to make. I started with an 8″ x 9-1/2″ piece of Soft Sky Card Stock, folded at 4″ to create the card base. The I cut a few pieces of Whisper White Card Stock to represent the snow, tearing and then sponging with a little Soft Sky ink along the top edges.
All the lamp post pieces were cut out of Basic Black Card Stock using the Christmas Lamppost Thinlets Dies (included in the Brightly Lit Christmas Bundle) and glued down with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen, tucking the bottom of the lamppost a bit behind the front snow drift.
The banner and bow were stamped in Garden Green and Real Red ink — very traditional Christmas colors — and again were cut out using some thinlits that were included in the bundle. The banner I glued down, but I used some of the new Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the bow, perfectly sized for those smaller embellishments.
For a final touch I used one of my new alcohol markers to add some “light” to the lanterns… more on that later! 🙂
I was planning to add a few snowflakes falling, but I forgot. What do you think, should I?
