Make a Holiday Card for Christmas Card Sunday
If you’d like to make a holiday card that’s quick and easy, this might just be the one! You could whip out about 40 of these simple Christmas cards with one package of Whisper White Cardstock and a package of Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper, with plenty of leftover supplies for other projects. After all, the designer paper comes with 24 12″ x 12″ sheets of paper patterns!
Add a special holiday sentiment and maybe a die-cut, and you’re set!
I started by stamping my Christmas card greeting at an angle on the focal piece in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. This came from the Hearts Come Home stamp set (wood-mount or clear-mount) on Page 39 of the Creativity Delivered 2017 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.
After cutting a strip from one of the musical paper patterns included in the Merry Music Designer Paper collection (Page 13 of the Holiday Catalog), I sponged the edges just a bit with the same ink. I then glued the strip of paper across the front and underneath the card greeting at the same angle, trimming off any excess on the sides using my Stampin’ Trimmer.
The adorable musical note was cut out using my Big Shot and the new Musical Instruments Framelits Dies which can be found on Page 25 of the Holiday Catalog, along with the Musical Season stamp set (wood-mount or clear-mount) where the inside card sentiment came from.
Of course, you’ll want to pick all of these up in bundles and save 10%. There’s the Musical Season Bundle (wood-mount or clear-mount) and the Hearts Come Home Bundle (wood-mount or clear-mount) to choose from, but why not get both?
I’ve selected the Houston Food Bank for my donation to the relief efforts there. And during the month of September I’m also going to donate an additional 10% of all my Stampin’ Up! product sales (before s&h and tax). So be sure to get your orders in this month and let’s make your purchases really count!
