Unique Handmade Gift Idea
If you’re looking for a unique handmade gift idea, why not try some handmade jewelry? This lovely pendant takes less than an hour to make… seriously! It’s a fabulous way to use up those scraps of beautiful designer paper you have laying around.
This is a pendant I made for one of my sisters. The square pendant features some retired nature-inspired designer paper that I just love called Botanical Gazette. It only took a little over a square inch of the patterned paper, so imagine how many pendants I could make from one 12″ x 12″ sheet of paper!
My sister is a writer, so I thought the Labeler Alphabet was the perfect choice to use for the small oval initial pendant. It reminds me of a typewriter letter. I stamped it in Basic Black Archival Ink onto another sheet of designer paper that came in the Botanical Gazette collection. I used my Fine-Tip Glue Pen to glue the papers to the backs of the glass pieces before putting them in the pendants.
I added a delicate butterfly charm for a little extra accent.
Do you have a lot of beautiful designer paper piling up? Maybe you’ll be able to use this unique handmade gift idea. It’s super easy and quick to do. What could be better?
